Waterproofing FAQs
SRD Infra supplies APP modified-bitumen membranes, SBS modified-bitumen membranes, pre-applied membranes, liquid-applied membranes, PVC and TPO synthetic membranes, and basement-specific waterproofing membranes.
Related: Waterproofing systems
APP modified-bitumen membranes are generally selected for strong heat and UV resistance in sustained rooftop sun exposure. SBS modified-bitumen membranes provide greater flexibility at lower temperatures and higher elongation, making them suitable for broader temperature ranges. Final selection depends on the system design and site conditions.
Related: Read the APP vs SBS guide
The right roof membrane depends on roof slope, exposure, foot traffic, substrate, detailing and climate zone. Torch-on membranes, PVC or TPO membranes, self-adhesive membranes and liquid-applied systems each suit different roof conditions.

Pre-applied membranes are installed before concrete is poured, typically for basements, rafts and retaining walls. They are designed to bond to the concrete as it cures and help control water migration between the membrane and structure.
Related: Pre-applied waterproofing membranes
Pre-applied membranes are placed before the concrete pour and bond during curing. Post-applied membranes are installed on an already cured concrete surface. The correct option depends on the construction stage, structural design and access conditions.
A liquid-applied membrane is a coating system applied directly to a surface that cures into a seamless waterproof layer. It is useful for complex geometries, junctions and detailing where sheet membranes are harder to install.

PVC and TPO are synthetic single-ply membranes commonly used for metal roofs, large flat roofs and industrial buildings. They offer UV resistance and can be efficient for large-area roof installation when properly specified and detailed.

Basement and foundation waterproofing may use pre-applied, APP, SBS or liquid-applied systems. The suitable system depends on water-table conditions, substrate, structural design, drainage and construction sequence.
Related: Basement waterproofing membranes
Yes. SRD Infra lists Flagpool synthetic pool liners through its SOPREMA partnership for swimming-pool waterproofing and refurbishment requirements.
Related: Swimming pool waterproofing
Service life depends on membrane type, installation quality, roof traffic, detailing, maintenance and climate exposure. Properly installed modified-bitumen and synthetic systems are designed for long-term performance; ask SRD Infra for product-specific warranty and service-life information.

Waterproofing during monsoon conditions requires careful scheduling. Dry substrate conditions and weather-dependent curing times are particularly important for liquid-applied systems. SRD Infra can advise on a suitable product and timing for the project conditions.

Thermal Insulation FAQs
SRD Infra supplies XPS extruded polystyrene insulation boards, PIR polyisocyanurate insulation boards, rockwool insulation and glasswool insulation.
Related: Thermal insulation products
XPS boards provide strong moisture resistance and compressive strength, so they are commonly used under waterproofing membranes and in ground-contact applications. PIR boards offer a higher thermal performance per unit thickness and are often selected where space is limited.
Related: Compare XPS and PIR
Rockwool is commonly used where thermal insulation, fire resistance and acoustic damping are needed in walls, partitions, ceilings and around service penetrations.
Related: Rockwool insulation
Glasswool is a lightweight fibrous insulation used for thermal and acoustic control in ducting, roofs, walls and false ceilings.
Related: Glasswool insulation
Yes. Insulation boards, commonly XPS, can form part of an inverted or warm-roof waterproofing build-up. The board position relative to the membrane depends on the roof design and system specification.
Related: Roof waterproofing systems
Thermal insulation is specified to reduce heat gain and heat loss through roofs and walls, which can reduce summer cooling load. The appropriate product and thickness depend on building type, climate zone and the overall envelope design.

Acoustic Insulation and Soundproofing FAQs
SRD Infra supplies acoustic and soundproofing membranes, noise barriers, noise-absorption products, soundproofing tape, polyethylene foam and self-adhesive acoustic bands, including Tecsound and Insoplast systems.
Related: Acoustic insulation products
Tecsound is a high-density, flexible acoustic membrane used to reduce airborne sound transmission through walls, floors and ceilings. It is commonly considered for home theatres, studios, hotels and residential party walls.
Insoplast is an acoustic barrier product used for noise-control applications. Tecsound and Insoplast differ in material composition and application suitability, so the right choice depends on the assembly and noise problem.
Related: Compare Tecsound and Insoplast
Yes. SRD Infra can support home theatre and studio requirements using acoustic membranes, absorptive products and sealing accessories based on whether the issue is airborne noise, impact noise or reverberation.
Related: Acoustic insulation supplier India
Acoustic membranes and barrier systems can be specified to reduce airborne noise transmission through building assemblies. The final outcome depends on the wall, window, ceiling, junction and sealing details.
Related: Acoustic membrane solutions
Soundproofing uses barriers, membranes and mass to reduce sound transmission between spaces. Acoustic treatment uses absorptive materials to reduce echo and reverberation inside a space. Many projects require both approaches.
Related: Acoustic insulation systems
Yes. SRD Infra has supplied acoustic insulation for offices, cinemas, theatres, dental clinics, auditoriums and museums, with selection based on the specific sound-control need and construction assembly.

Roofing Shingles and Metal Roofing Tiles FAQs
SRD Infra supplies Tegola Canadese bituminous roofing shingles in multiple ranges, shapes, colours and material technologies, subject to current availability and project requirements.
Related: Roofing shingles
Bituminous shingles offer design flexibility in shape, colour and texture, lighter weight than many tile-roof options, and a waterproof roof covering for pitched roofs. They are used where an architectural finish is required.
Related: Roofing shingle systems
Yes. SRD Infra lists TACTILE stone-coated metal roofing tiles for durable pitched-roof requirements with a stone-chip coated metal profile.
Related: Stone-coated metal roofing tiles
Bitumen shingles offer a wide aesthetic range and are often cost-effective for varied roof profiles. Stone-coated metal tiles offer a metal-tile appearance, high impact resistance and colour stability. Roof structure, budget and desired appearance guide selection.
